Circa 1800

 

Decorated in gold and silver takamakie, some foil and kirigane on either side. Signed Yamada Toyoyoshi [alt. Hōbi] saku. With a cylindrical shibuichi ojime with landscape and a lacquer netsuke in the form of a book with title slip Kokinshu, a 10th century anthology of tanka poems.
